I am well aware of the fact that the site is a bit dead lately. Too busy living! I have been around Indonesia the last three weeks and one of the facts that really surprised me was the vibrant food culture I got to experience there. Since it is often cheaper to eat in one of the warungs (local restaurants) than to cook yourself, I spend three weeks eating out in the most amazing restaurants and foodie heavens. Lots of fresh, healthy, vegan and delicious options. Here are my 10 favourites!
I have been travelling for almost a year now and often go exploring by myself. This is probably the best time of my life, so I feel like I have to record everything. It is a time I will never forget and want to remember for ever. I keep a journal with all my tickets, highlights and experiences, which is pretty full already, but nothing brings back memories better than pictures of the moment you were the happiest person on earth. So how do you get these awesome travel photos when you travel alone? I got 5 tips for you that will instantly give you amazing pictures.
It is a given that Sydney is one of the most expensive cities to live in. Taking the bus costs you a fortune, eating out is a no go for poor people like us and don’t even start about partying. However, you can’t visit Australia without seeing Sydney. So what to do without spending all your money here? Yes, there is more than the Harbour Bridge Walk! I have been living here for over three months now and I still love every day of it!
Everybody loves donuts, duuh. But these!? These are to die for. Even th(d)ough they call themselves Short Stop, I woulnd’t mind spending a whole day eating their donuts. I didn’t plan to go here, but the donut wall starred at me while I walked by. I first went for coffee, sat down and half an hour later I still was highly convinced I deserved a donut that day. Ok, maybe two donuts, even after I had ice cream less than an hour before.
Finally, I had some free time in my schedule and enough energy in my body to go outside and enjoy the sun. I have been working a lot lately to save up as much money as I can. It leaves me tired and not in the mood to go outside, but I choose for that at the moment. Because I have a goal! Last week it was a wonderful day in Sydney, the winter temperatures had risen above 20 degrees and the sun was burning. It made me decide to go outside and explore some foodie hotspots in Sydney, starting off with a new ice cream place called ‘ Honey Creme’, located at Goulburn St.
